School dances have come to a grinding halt at Fayetteville-Manlius High School.

A Dec. 2 dance has been canceled because of students "grinding" at the Homecoming Dance in October. The sexually suggestive dance style, also called "freaking," has upset parents and school officials. Administrators ended the October dance 15 minutes early because of persistent grinding...

"Who knows what's going on in there, and some girls have said they don't know how to get out of the situation. We're concerned for their physical and psychological safety."
